Praia dos Alemães

Praia dos Alemães, translated to "Germans' Beach," is named after a German fish canning factory that once stood nearby. The factory building was later converted into a hotel. While it is a popular beach, it's never as crowded as the nearby Albufeira beaches. There are two restaurants on the beach and lifeguards during peak seasons.

If you want, you can go for a nice beach walk. To the west of Alemães is Praia dos Pescadores, located just in front of Albufeira's Old Town. You can walk from this beach to the old town of Albufeira in about 20 minutes.
