Praia da Angrinha

Praia da Angrinha is Ferragudo's other beach, after Praia Grande. The beach here sits on the bank of the river Arade looking across to the marina at Portimao. Given its position on the river it is very much sheltered from the Atlantic waves.

After Praia Grande, Praia da Angrinha is the other beach in Ferragudo, located on the riverbank of the Arade River and offering a picturesque view of the Portimao marina. Its position along the river provides protection from the Atlantic waves, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

The southern end of the beach is defined by the fort of São João do Arade. On the other side of this fort is Praia Grande. Though now a private residence, it adds to the beach's historical charm and provides visitors with a glimpse into the region's past.

On the other end of the beach, you will find a row of huts belonging to the local fishermen, who bring in their catch of the day here. The fishermen's little boats can be seen pulled up on the sand by the small breakwater, adding to the beach's rustic and authentic Portuguese vibe.
