Quinta do Lago South - 18 hole|Par 72|6,488m

Quinta do Lago South Golf Course, designed by architect, William Mitchell, was founded in 1974. This traditional, 18-hole, 72 par course, situated on rolling terrain, is one of the flagship European tour courses and has played host to the Portuguese Open eight times, with one of the most memorable being in 1989, when Colin Montgomerie won the title with a round of 63, 24 under par and 11 strokes ahead, breaking the course record.

Mitchell introduced American standards to the Algarve when designing this courses greens, tees and bunkers, including subtle hazards throughout the tree lined course. The 15th hole is a challenge to remember if you reach the other side.
