Pinhal - 18 hole|Par 72|6,353m

Pinhal, the second golf course built in Vilamoura, was originally designed by Architect, Frank Pennink (who also designed the nearby Vilamoura Old course) and founded in 1976. The Par 72 18-hole course was redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr. in 1985 when several refinements were incorporated.

The course is set on rolling terrain with umbrella and Atlantic pines scattered close to the fairways, alongside ponds and a stream which can prove a challenge to the less experienced golfer. The smaller greens require a good approach, one of the favourite holes being the 4th, where you tee off through an avenue of trees whilst trying to avoid the waiting water and sand hazards near the green, straight, and steady as you go.
