Carvoeiro by the Sea: A Charming Village

Carvoeiro is a former fishing village and a wonderful town in the Algarve to visit. The town is centered around Praia do Carvoeiro, a small beach framed by two cliffs. Behind the beach, there are a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops, making it an enjoyable place to relax and explore. For stunning views, take a walk to the clifftop on the eastern (left) side of the beach. From there, you can follow the Carvoeiro Boardwalk, a scenic wooden path that connects the town to the iconic rock formations of Algar Seco, one of the area's highlights.

At Algar Seco, you'll discover a unique landscape of cliffs, caves, and natural windows carved by the sea. Venture down rocky steps and tunnels to explore these formations up close. There's also a restaurant here where you can enjoy the surroundings.
