This former beekeeper's cottage has been beautifully refurbished throughout, and now offers visitors a modern, yet charming, 3 bedroom villa with private pool and stunning Ocean views. Set on a small private estate overlooking the fabulous Praia Grande beach in Ferragudo, this property is the perfect retreat for those looking for a tranquil location by the Ocean.
The single storey villa has direct access through the grounds down a gentle slope to the beach (approx. 200m) and benefits from air conditioning in the 3 bedrooms and Wi-Fi.
There are a selection of shops and restaurants in the nearby picturesque fishing village of Ferragudo (approx. 2.5km) and the larger town of Portimao, famous for its sardines and shoe shops, is 6km away.
The Living Areas
High ceilings with wooden beams frame this large open plan space for living, dining, and cooking. Two sets of patio doors let plenty of natural light flood into the room and allow you to appreciate the wonderful Ocean views from inside as well as out. The room is furnished comfortably with two large sofas in front of a wood burning fire (perfect for the cooler winter months). There is large TV including many English-speaking channels, and large dining table with 8 chairs.
The kitchen area is modern and well equipped with all you will need for a self-catering villa holiday including a fridge freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, filter coffee machine, expresso coffee machine, Juicer, blender and all the usual small appliances.
Next to the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and a second fridge.
Outside of the two sets of patio doors from this main living space, is a natural stone, walled terrace, furnished for seating and dining, alongside a brick built charcoal BBQ. The main feature here is, of course, the lovely views to the Ocean, beach and Portimao marina. This is the perfect place to sit and watch the yachts and boats come and go along the estuary.

Outside Areas
As well as the lovely BBQ terrace, is a separate pool area with large private pool 10 x 4m (heating available) surrounded by paving and furnished with sun loungers and parasols. There is a poolside shower and separate WC for your use when enjoying time in this area. The property is surrounded by terraced gardens and mature umbrella pine trees, with access to the beach from the gardens by a secure gate and down a gentle slope.
Please note - There are some unprotected drops from various terraces around the gardens and swimming pool area - young children need to be supervised at all times.

What is Included in the Holiday Price
Pool heating is available at a supplement of £300 per week.
During the winter months heating can be made available at a supplement of £200 per week.
PLEASE NOTE: In April 2024, the council of Lagoa, which includes the resort of Ferragudo, introduced a tourist tax that is to be paid by all visitors, aged 13 years and older, staying in paid tourist accommodation within the district. The tax of 1-2 Euros per person, will be applied for a maximum of 7 nights and is to be paid to us with your balance payment. Low Season - between November 1st and March 31st - 1€ per night. High Season - between April 1st and October 31st - 2€ per night.
How to Book your Holiday
A 25% deposit payment of the holiday price is required in order to secure your booking. We will then send you a booking confirmation and request your full details and travel details.
The balance payment plus refundable damage deposit is due ten weeks prior to travel. You will receive a reminder by email.
When we have received the balance payment we will send you the directions to the property and arrival instructions.
